The Idaho Child Support Program automatically installs all the necessary components to run the software on your computer. Depending on your operating system you will need to perform some of the steps listed below.

2007 Tax Information is Not Showing

If you have upgraded to the new ICSP 2007, but still dont see the 2007 tax tables, please follow these steps to force the update:

  • Open your icsp.ini file (by default it is located at c:\Program Files\Moonlighting\ICSP)
  • Find the line that reads TaxYear, and change it from 2007 to 2006
  • Save and Exit the file
  • Restart ICSP


    MDAC Error During Install

    If you see the following message during installation, it simply means you already have it installed.  Simply click Ignore:

    Missing MSCOMCTL.OCX or MSINET.OCX

    After installing the application, if you get an error saying that either of these two files are missing, do the following:

  • Download MSCOMCTL.OCX or MSINET.OCX by clicking on these links
  • Save the files in your {Windows}\System32 directory
  • Click on Start -> Run
  • Type ths command: regsvr32 mscomctl.ocx or regsvr32 msinet.ocx
  • Click Ok
  • You should receive the following message:

    Windows 95/98/ME/NT Users

    Because this application is built upon the .NET framework from Microsoft you will need to have Internet Explorer version 5.01 or higher on your system before installing this software. You can select from the START menu Windows Update to update all of you operating system components including IE or visit http://www.microsoft.com./downloads and choose the Internet Explorer 6.0 update. To determine what version of IE you currently have start IE and select Help/About Internet Explorer from the menu.

    After loading the CD into your CD drive you will have three choices. Choose the option you wish to do. The Install Software will guide you through the entire installation procedure. The View Documentation allows this documentation to be viewed. Finally Contact us shows how we can be reached

    Once you have the latest IE is installed select Install Software then choose Install Application to start the installation process. Some Window 95/98 users may see the following error message:

    Dll error when installing on Windows 95/98

    This is not a problem. Some of the older versions of Windows 95/98 did not have this DLL in the operating system. To correct this problem choose the Update Win 95/98. Once this setup is complete select the Install Application again.

    The Install Application will automatically check for the to see if the following are installed on your system:

    - Microsoft Jet 4.0
    - Microsoft .Net Support
    - Microsoft MDAC 2.7

    If any of these are required, the setup will automatically install them.

    If during the installation all that appears is the demosheild window but there is no indication that the installation is taking place (ie. there isn't a window showing the progress of the installation) you will need to run the Update Win95/98 option from the CD first, then choose the Install Application option.

    Note: During the installation of several of the above components you may be asked to reboot your system. DO NOT reboot it. Just cancel and go on. Once the installation is complete reboot your system.

    Windows 2000, XP Users

    Select Install Software, choose Install Application to start the installation process.

    Network Installation

    To install the database so it can shared on the network Choose Install Software and then Install Database Only. The location of this file is where all users must point their application to.

    MDAC Problems

    If after installing the application you get an error that it can't find the database the MDAC version 2.6 did not properly overwrite the earlier version. This error occurs only in a minority of installations. Additionally you can test to see if the proper MDAC version was installed by clicking on File/Properties and under the database tab, select clear database. If the correct of the MDAC did not properly install, you will get an error that MDAC 2.6 is needed 2.x was found.

    If this occurs you will need to manually install an updated version of MDAC.
